Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), urged his lawyer Faisal Chaudhry to accelerate “establishing contact with other opposition parties for protests after Eid” on Saturday.
“Imran Khan suggested that protests [against the current government] be planned after Eid,” Chaudhry stated during an appearance on the “Naya Pakistan” show on news. Earlier this afternoon, the detained former premier met with the legal counsel.
The Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), Mahmood Khan Achakzai’s Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s Awaam Pakistan, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Mahrang Baloch, and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) are among the opposition parties that Khan instructed Asad Qaiser to get in touch with.
