According to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the nation’s weekly inflation rate rose by 4.07 percent.
As per the information that came to light on Friday, the PBS stated: “The inflation was recorded at 2.22 per cent on annual basis.” According to the report, sugar prices have dropped by Rs. 8 per kilogram. The average cost of sugar is now Rs 180 per kilogram. The cost of tomatoes has increased by 22.93%. The cost of purchasing meat from broiler chickens has decreased by 7.95 percent.
In the meantime, over the past week, the cost of potatoes, wheat flour, onions, and bananas has also decreased. Both gas and electricity costs have gone up by 29.8% and 21.4%, respectively.
