For the second day in a row, the price of gold fell precipitously both in Pakistan and internationally.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reports that the price of 24-karat gold declined by Rs2,300 a tola on Friday, reaching Rs356,700. In a same vein, 10 grams of gold now cost Rs305,812 after falling Rs1,972.
A significant shift was also seen in the world gold market, as the price of gold fell by $23 to $3,340 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan likewise followed the downward trend, with 10 kilos of silver costing Rs3,449 and a tola of 24-karat silver falling by Rs34 to Rs4,023.
