London/Washington: After meeting with a number of congressmen, the sons of former prime minister Imran Khan have returned to London, but they have not been able to arrange an official meeting with the Donald Trump administration to discuss their father’s imprisonment.
Within the PTI’s foreign chapters, particularly the US branch, which organized these gatherings on its own initiative, an internal conflict has broken out. The leaders of the PTI have criticized one another for not securing any significant meetings, influential legislative hearings, or media interviews with major US media outlets.
Imran Khan’s sons, Sulaiman Khan, 28, and Kasim Khan, 26, met with Congressmen Brad Sherman, Mike Levin of California, and Gregory Meeks, ranking member on House Foreign Affairs, according to posts posted by PTI USA leader Sajjad Burki.
