According to the most recent data released by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), flash floods and heavy rains that have swept through vulnerable parts of the nation since June 26 have killed at least 299 people, including 140 children, and injured 715 more.
The report also showed that 57 women and 102 males were among the dead.
In all, 715 people were hurt, including 239 children, 204 women, and 272 males.
Since June 26, 1,676 homes have been damaged in the impacted areas due to flash floods and heavy rainfall.
Of them, 1,114 residences experienced minor damage and 562 were totally demolished. Additionally, 428 livestock were lost as a result of the extreme weather.
