Amjad Zubair Tiwana, the chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), filed for an early retirement.
The Prime Minister’s Office has received a letter from the chairman of FBR requesting an early retirement. It is still Amjad Zubair Tawana’s six-month reign. On August 15, he submitted an early retirement application.
The FBR chairman reportedly made the decision to retire early because of criticism and pressure at work.
The resignation request of Amjad Zubair Tiwana will be decided by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
