Over the weekend, the Eat Festival Karachi edition, sometimes referred to as Karachi Eat, made a triumphant return to the city, captivating K-town with its delightful lineup of food, music, and endless entertainment.

This year’s largest festival in Pakistan began on Friday, January 12, ran over the course of the weekend, and concluded without incident on Sunday, January 14.

The annual three-day event served as a sanctuary for a variety of Karachi-based foodpreneurs, providing them with a global marketplace on which to promote their international cuisine.

This year’s event had more than 120 stalls and featured a variety of international cuisines, allowing guests to sample dishes from countries like Turkey, Japan, India, and Mexico, to name a few.

Ever since its inception in 2014, the event has evolved with each new iteration, emphasizing its dedication to giving back to Karachi and its populace.

Omar Omari, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Eat Food Pakistan, told Geo.tv that the festival was started as a way to support the city and provide its residents with a platform to grow their companies.

As per Omari, the festival provides a platform for the city dwellers to interact with the varied population of Karachi.

When the festival first started, stalls from well-known restaurants were present, but this time, almost 70% of the sellers were home cooks, according to Omari.
