When Tizi Hodson, 70, of Gedney Hill, Lincolnshire, opened the mail, she was shocked to see that her January 1976 application letter for a job as a motorcycle stunt rider had been hidden behind a post office drawer for all these years.
She lost it in the mail, but it didn’t stop her from pursuing her daredevil profession because she was able to find employment that allowed her to travel the world.
Ms. Hodson called the letter she received back “amazing” and added, “I’ve always wondered why I never heard back about the job.” I now see why.
