A 5.9-magnitude earthquake rocked Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and sections of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) Seismic Monitoring Center.
The epicentre of the earthquake, according to the seismological center, was 111 kilometers deep in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
In addition to Nowshera, Hangu, and Kohat, tremors were observed in Peshawar, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Shabqadar, Charsadda, and Parachinar. Additionally, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Swat, and Attock experienced shocks.
