Mark Hamill recently commended Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau for encapsulating George Lucas’s essence.
The 73-year-old American actor discussed his return to the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian as Luke in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
“I think Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, boy, do they get Star Wars,” Hamill stated, referring to George Lucas, the originator of the franchise. They understand. In a manner I questioned in the sequels, they are using the same language as George.
He explained his return in The Mandalorian, saying, “I did Mandalorian because Luke had a beginning and an end. No middle ground existed. It was similar to creating a James Bond trilogy.
