Due to law and order concerns, authorities have closed two important entrances to Islamabad’s Red Zone, causing delays and traffic detours in the city.
Closed key entrances
The Red Zone’s Express Chowk and Nadra Chowk entrances have been closed, according to the Islamabad Traffic Police. Law and order concerns were taken into consideration when making the decision.
Other routes are recommended.
It has been suggested that commuters going to the Red Zone use Serena Road, Marriott Road, and Margalla Road as alternate access points. The high-security area will continue to be accessible via these means.
