QUETTA: According to sources who spoke to Geo News on Sunday, Ziarat Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Afzal and his son, who were kidnapped about a month ago, have been murdered by their captors.
The sources claim that after the kidnappers shot the cop and his son and disposed of their remains in the mountains, their bodies are currently being retrieved.
The provincial authority has strongly condemned the unfortunate event. The deceased assistant commissioner sacrificed his life while performing his duties, according to Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti.
In a statement, he said, “Those who murder innocent people and disturb the peace will not get away with it.”
