Ashab Irfan of Pakistan put up one of the most impressive performances of the Nash Cup Squash competition on Friday, defeating Veer Chotrani of India with a stunning comeback to guarantee a spot in the semifinals.
Chotrani, the No. 4 seed, took charge of the match with a 9-11, 4-11 start, while Ashab, the No. 8 seed, appeared to be having difficulties early on. However, after falling behind by two sets, the 21-year-old Pakistani recovered brilliantly to flip the tide in his favor with aggressive shot-making and deft retrievals. To win 3-2, he won three games in a row, 11-8, 11-8, and 11-8.
