According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, Pakistan’s weekly inflation rate decreased by 0.16 percent, while the country’s annual inflation rate remained at 3.95 percent.
Prices for eleven necessities, such as chicken, potatoes, and onions, have decreased over the last week. But the price of 17 goods, including wheat flour and tomatoes, increased.
The cost of tomatoes rose to Rs190, an increase of Rs16 per kilogram. The average price of eggs increased by Rs2.75 per dozen, to Rs316. The price of a 20-kilogram bag of wheat flour had increased by Rs15.50 to Rs2,031.
Additionally, the average cost of sugar increased somewhat to Rs184 per kilogram.
The cost of a kilogram of live broiler chicken, however, decreased by Rs50.
