Muhammad Aurangzeb, the finance minister, has stated unequivocally that no new tax policies are currently being considered.
In an interview with Islamabad’s media, Aurangzeb stated his commitment to reaching the goal of increasing the tax-to-GDP ratio to 11%. He clarified that no other tax measures are currently being considered.
He stated that there are now a number of tax cases pending in the courts, and that it is anticipated that the resolution of these cases will enhance tax collection.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) negotiations were going smoothly, according to the FinMin.
