Prince William is reportedly taking a firm stance to ensure his uncle, Prince Andrew, is permanently removed from the inner circle of the royal family. Royal experts say the future king wants to protect the monarchy from further damage as Andrew prepares to leave his long time royal residence.
The move comes amid continued pressure from senior royals and growing public frustration surrounding Andrew’s past scandals.
According to British royal expert Hilary Fordwich, Prince William is leading the effort to push Andrew as far away from royal life as possible. She explained that William does not want his future reign clouded by ongoing controversy or the risk of new revelations that could dominate headlines.
In her view, Andrew represents a serious liability. Keeping him nearby would only undermine public confidence and distract from the work William wants to do.
She added that William understands public sentiment and knows that trust in the royal family remains fragile. Any continued association with Andrew, even behind the scenes, could harm the institution in the long term.
Jobson told People magazine that there may be options outside the United Kingdom where Andrew could live with less scrutiny.
He noted that other figures facing public disgrace have relocated to the region.
Jobson also stated that Andrew has prior business ties in Bahrain and is still relatively young. These factors, he said, could make an overseas move a practical solution for both Andrew and the royal family.
For Prince William, distancing the monarchy from controversy appears to be a clear priority.
