ISLAMABAD: In order to attend the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for Baku, Azerbaijan, for the “World Leaders’ Climate Action Summit.”
The premier declared his arrival in Baku on Tuesday, posting on the microblogging platform, “Just landed in Baku.”

Earlier in the day, the PM spoke at the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh about the Middle East problem. The meeting was a sequel to last year’s November 11 Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit.
Later, the prime minister was dismissed by Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, and other diplomatic personnel.
