Jet Ski Speeding and Safety Concerns at Conwy Harbour Dangerous Speeds Reported on Water Jet skiers have been recorded travelling at extreme speeds in Conwy Harbour. Reports show some riders reaching up to 30 or 40 knots, which is around three to four times the local 10 knot speed limit. Authorities say children have been seen on board during these high speed runs. This has raised serious safety concerns for other water users in the area. Efforts to Control Reckless Activity Conwy council has installed CCTV cameras to monitor activity in the harbour. The system is meant to help identify those breaking speed rules. However, enforcement has faced challenges. Some riders have removed registration plates to avoid being identified. This has made it harder to take action against offenders. Harbour officials say this behaviour appears planned, as it suggests awareness of camera coverage in the area. High Risk Area Identified Officials have highlighted a narrow section of water between Deganwy and the navigation beacons as the most problematic zone. This area is heavily used and leaves little room for error at high speed. Clear warning signs are placed at key points around the harbour, including slipways and marina exits. Yellow marker buoys also indicate the speed restricted zone. Safety Concerns Raised by Harbour Authorities The Harbour Master has described repeated cases of dangerous behaviour in recent months. He stressed that only a small number of users are responsible, but their actions put others at risk. Authorities say they are still working on gathering stronger evidence. They want to link speeding incidents with vessel launch points before taking formal action. Steps Being Taken Officials are improving warning signage to make speed limits clearer. They are also working with CCTV teams to record incidents in real time. Plans for further enforcement are still in development as authorities try to close gaps that allow offenders to avoid penalties.

Funeral held in Fleurance as community grieves An 11 year old girl, Lyhanna, was laid to rest in the town of Fleurance in south western France. Family, friends, and local residents attended the funeral to pay their final respects. The town showed public support with flags lowered at local institutions. Public anger grows over missed warnings The case has triggered strong public reaction across the region. Many residents are questioning how authorities handled earlier warnings linked to the suspected attacker. Officials had been alerted months before the killing about allegations involving the main suspect, Jérôme Barella. However, no formal questioning took place at that time. Separate intelligence reports also suggested possible concerning online activity. That information was reviewed but later treated as low priority. Investigation expands to suspect’s family The investigation has widened beyond the main suspect. Authorities have placed his brother under investigation following rape allegations made by two women, including one who was underage at the time of the alleged incident. He denies the claims. The suspect’s father is also under investigation in a separate case involving historical abuse allegations. He has denied all accusations. Case raises questions about police response Lyhanna disappeared after being seen leaving school with the suspect’s daughter. Her body was later found on a nearby farm after a search operation. The case has now become a wider national concern. Critics are questioning why earlier reports were not acted on more quickly and why multiple warnings did not lead to stronger preventive action.

People who were groomed and sexually abused as children, then later prosecuted for crimes linked to exploitation, are still facing long term harm. A major report author says the current government response does not fully address the scale of wrongful convictions and needs a broader approach. Background of the issue A senior investigator who led a national inquiry into grooming exploitation cases has raised concerns about the way past convictions are being handled. She previously urged authorities to cancel convictions of victims who were punished for offences committed while they were being abused. The government has introduced a law aimed at pardoning certain prostitution related offences involving children. However, critics say this step is too limited and does not address the wider group of survivors affected by similar convictions. Concerns over the current approach The investigator described the current policy as an easy solution that avoids deeper action. She argues that a proper system should be created to review and cancel all convictions that were influenced by child sexual exploitation. She believes the existing process lacks care and structure, leaving many survivors without justice. In her view, the response so far has not met the needs of those affected. Government response Officials say they will continue working on reviewing convictions where a person’s childhood abuse may have influenced criminal behaviour. They also encourage affected individuals to contact the official body responsible for reviewing potential wrongful convictions. Survivor experience One survivor, using a protected identity, described how she was abused from a young age and repeatedly exploited by many men across different locations. Despite being a child at the time, she was arrested multiple times and treated as an offender. She received her first conviction at 17 for offences linked to street solicitation. At the time, she did not understand what was happening to her and was labelled in court as a sex worker. Years later, she recognises she was being exploited and raped throughout that period. She says the system failed to protect her and instead punished her for actions linked to abuse.

Air India Crash Investigation Still Ongoing One Year On as Final Report Delayed Investigation Update After One Year The investigation into the fatal Air India crash has not reached its final stage yet. The Indian aviation safety authority has confirmed that more time is needed before it can publish the final findings. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau said it has made strong progress over the past year. Teams continue to study technical data, operational records, and human factors linked to the disaster. Officials also stated that the final report will only be released once all analysis is complete and required international review steps are finished. Crash Details and Human Loss The accident involved an Boeing 787 Dreamliner operated by Air India. It went down shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad on its way to London. The aircraft crashed about 6 kilometers from the airport. It struck a building used for medical staff housing at the Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Medical College and Civil Hospital and caused a major explosion. The disaster killed 241 people on board and 19 people on the ground. Among those who died were 169 Indian nationals and 53 British citizens. Only one passenger survived, Viswashkumar Ramesh from Leicester. Investigation Progress So Far The investigation team has reviewed flight recorder data, engine components, maintenance logs, and operational records. Officials say they have built a detailed technical picture of what happened, but the full analysis is still ongoing. They also confirmed that every aspect of the crash is being studied, including aircraft systems, human decisions, and organizational factors. Why the Report Is Delayed The authority explained that accident investigations focus on safety improvements rather than blame. Because of this, the process requires careful validation and international consultation before release. Officials added that they must complete all testing and cross check every piece of evidence before publishing final conclusions. Next Steps in the Investigation The final report will be shared only after all technical work is finished. Authorities say the goal is to improve aviation safety and prevent similar tragedies in the future.

    # SpaceX IPO Makes History as Elon Musk Moves Closer to Trillion-Dollar Milestone ## Subheading The world's largest public offering marks a historic moment for SpaceX and could push Elon Musk into unprecedented financial territory. SpaceX has officially entered a new chapter by launching what is expected to become the biggest initial public offering (IPO) in stock market history. The landmark event highlights the company's remarkable journey from a risky startup to one of the world's most valuable businesses. Speaking from SpaceX headquarters in southern Texas, founder Elon Musk reflected on the company's early struggles. He revealed that when SpaceX first began, he believed it had less than a 10% chance of surviving. Today, that same company is making history with a record-breaking stock market debut. ## A Historic Day for SpaceX The official start of trading was celebrated through ceremonies in both Texas and New York. Company executives, employees, and investors marked the occasion with opening bell celebrations, while thousands watched the event live. Senior executives, including Chief Financial Officer Bret Johnsen and President and Chief Operating Officer Gwynne Shotwell, joined the celebrations as SpaceX shares officially entered the public market. Musk addressed employees and viewers through a live video message from Texas, describing the IPO as a major milestone for the company and everyone who helped build it. ## Elon Musk Nears an Unprecedented Financial Record If SpaceX shares reach or move beyond the suggested price of $135 per share, Elon Musk could become the first person in history with a net worth exceeding $1 trillion. The figure is difficult to imagine. A trillion equals one thousand billion, or 1,000,000,000,000. To understand its scale, consider a few comparisons: * King Charles' estimated personal wealth is below $1 billion. * The Dallas Cowboys are valued at around $13 billion. * Uber's market value stands at roughly $142 billion. * An average American worker would need more than 16 million years to earn $1 trillion. * The amount is also close to the value of Switzerland's entire economy. ## A Defining Moment for the Global Market The SpaceX IPO represents more than a financial event. It reflects years of innovation, private investment, and rapid growth in the commercial space industry. Investors around the world are closely watching the company's market performance, while analysts believe its public listing could reshape the future of aerospace investment and global financial markets. As trading begins, SpaceX has already secured its place in financial history. The coming days will determine just how far its valuation—and Elon Musk's personal fortune—can climb.

Rising Costs in the Chip Industry TSMC, the world’s largest advanced chip manufacturer, says rising inflation is pushing up its production costs. The company has not confirmed sharp price increases, but it has not ruled them out either. Chief financial officer Wendell Huang said prices will not jump suddenly. He added that the company prices its products based on value, supported by strong technology leadership and high end manufacturing capabilities. TSMC supplies advanced chips used by companies like Nvidia, AMD, and Apple. Any change in pricing could affect the wider artificial intelligence supply chain and eventually consumer electronics. AI Growth and Bubble Debate Huang rejected the idea that the artificial intelligence boom is a bubble. He said demand for advanced chips remains strong and driven by real industrial needs. The company sees AI expansion as a long term trend rather than a short term surge. This view supports continued investment in production capacity and global expansion. Global Expansion and Geopolitical Pressure TSMC is expanding its manufacturing footprint in the United States, Germany, and Japan while keeping major operations in Taiwan. Huang said these decisions are driven mainly by customer demand rather than political pressure. He explained that global clients want local production options to improve supply stability. However, the most advanced chip production will stay in Taiwan for now. Moving the full ecosystem elsewhere would take five to ten years or more. US China Tech Tensions The chip industry remains central in growing tensions between the United States and China. Washington is pushing key manufacturers to strengthen supply chains through overseas expansion. Taiwan produces most of the world’s advanced semiconductors, making it a critical point in global technology competition. Leaders have warned that poor handling of Taiwan related issues could create serious geopolitical risks. Price Outlook and Company Position While Huang avoided confirming price increases, he acknowledged that inflation is raising operating costs. TSMC leadership has also expressed interest in adjusting prices where needed. The company says it will continue balancing cost pressures with its long term strategy of maintaining high end chip production leadership.

    ## Air India Crash Pilot’s Father Vows to Defend Son’s Reputation The father of Capt Sumeet Sabharwal, one of the pilots who died in the Air India Flight 171 crash, has promised to continue defending his son's reputation as investigators prepare to release another update on the tragedy. Pushkar Raj Sabharwal said he remains determined to protect his son's name from speculation and unverified claims. "My son is no longer here, but I must defend his reputation," he said. ## Family Faces Painful Speculation Capt Sumeet Sabharwal served as the senior pilot on Air India Flight 171. The London-bound Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed just seconds after taking off from Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025. The disaster claimed at least 260 lives, including 241 passengers and crew members on board. It became one of India's deadliest aviation accidents in recent years. Since the crash, the Sabharwal family has faced intense public attention. Media reports and online discussions have added to their grief while the investigation remains unfinished. ## Investigation Continues Without Final Conclusion Authorities have not yet determined the exact cause of the crash. A preliminary investigation report revealed that the fuel control switches for both engines moved from the "run" position to the "cut-off" position shortly after take-off. As a result, both engines lost fuel supply during a critical stage of the flight. Cockpit recordings captured a conversation between the two pilots. One pilot questioned why the fuel had been cut off, while the other denied taking that action. Investigators did not identify which pilot made either statement. They also found no evidence that either pilot intentionally caused the incident. ## Reports Shifted Attention Toward Senior Pilot Several international media reports later suggested that investigators were paying closer attention to Capt Sabharwal's role in the cockpit. According to those reports, cockpit audio recordings appeared to support the theory that the captain may have cut fuel flow to the engines. However, officials have not confirmed those claims. Pilot associations across India strongly rejected the speculation. Industry groups argued that media outlets should avoid drawing conclusions before investigators complete their work. ## Authorities Urge Caution India's Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau criticized selective and unverified reporting surrounding the crash. The agency warned that premature conclusions could mislead the public and undermine the investigation process. Officials stressed that investigators had not assigned blame to either pilot. Capt Sabharwal's father later approached India's Supreme Court and requested an independent investigation into all possible causes of the accident. During proceedings, the court noted that the preliminary findings did not place responsibility on the senior pilot. The judges stated that no evidence in the initial report suggested fault on his part. ## Family Awaits Final Answers As investigators continue their work, the Sabharwal family hopes the final report will provide clear answers about what happened that day. For Pushkar Raj Sabharwal, the goal remains simple. He wants the public to remember his son as a respected professional pilot and wait for verified facts before making judgments. The upcoming investigation update may provide new insights into one of the most tragic aviation disasters in recent history.

    # Norris Encouraged as McLaren Returns to the Front in Barcelona Lando Norris believes McLaren is moving in the right direction after the team delivered a strong performance during Friday practice at the Barcelona Catalunya Grand Prix. The British driver set the fastest lap of the day, finishing just 0.009 seconds ahead of Mercedes driver George Russell. McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri also impressed by taking third place, only 0.057 seconds behind Norris. ## McLaren Finds Speed Again in Barcelona McLaren arrived in Spain looking for answers after disappointing weekends in Monaco and Canada. The team struggled for pace at both events, and Norris failed to finish either race. However, the opening practice sessions in Barcelona painted a much more positive picture. Norris said the circuit suited the car better and allowed the team to operate in a stronger performance window. He explained that Barcelona's layout is very different from Monaco and Canada. The improved balance gave the team more confidence and helped unlock better speed throughout the day. Although Norris was pleased with the result, he admitted there is still work to do before qualifying and the race. ## Mercedes Staying Close to McLaren Mercedes also looked competitive. Russell finished second and remained within touching distance of Norris. Rookie championship leader Kimi Antonelli ended the session in fifth place. He missed the first practice session after Mercedes handed reserve driver Frederik Vesti valuable track time. Antonelli said tyre management remained a challenge because the hot conditions caused overheating. Despite that, he felt positive about the team's long run pace and expected further improvements on Saturday. Mercedes deputy team principal Bradley Lord praised both drivers and noted that the battle at the front appears extremely close. He also highlighted Ferrari's strong race pace during longer runs. ## Ferrari Showing Strong Long Run Pace Charles Leclerc finished fourth fastest and continued to show encouraging pace for Ferrari. Data from the longer race simulations suggested Ferrari could be a serious threat during Sunday's race. Leclerc's performance on medium tyres compared favorably with Mercedes and McLaren. Lewis Hamilton, however, experienced a more difficult session. After missing the opening practice due to Ferrari's junior driver program, he finished ninth on the timesheets and struggled to find consistent speed. ## Verstappen Faces Difficult Start Red Bull endured a frustrating Friday as Max Verstappen finished sixth, almost nine tenths of a second behind Norris. The Dutch driver reported grip problems in every type of corner. He said the car lacked balance and failed to provide the confidence needed to attack the circuit. Verstappen admitted Red Bull is currently not in a position to challenge McLaren and Mercedes at the front. He also noted that changing track conditions and strong winds made the situation even more difficult. ## Tight Battle Expected This Weekend Friday's practice sessions suggest McLaren has taken an important step forward after recent setbacks. Norris and Piastri both looked competitive, while Mercedes and Ferrari remain close contenders. Although race pace data produced mixed results, McLaren appears far stronger than it did in Monaco and Canada. With qualifying still to come, fans can expect a closely fought battle between several teams at the front of the grid.

Brazil Uses Smart Vests to Gain Edge for World Cup 2026 Data Driven Football Preparation Brazil is preparing for the 2026 World Cup with the help of wearable tracking technology. The national team has been collecting detailed performance data on its players for several years. Coaches now rely on this information to support selection and tactics. Brazil has won the men’s World Cup five times. Despite that success, recent tournaments have not gone as planned. The team is now turning to data and sports science to improve results. Smart Vests Track Player Performance Players across Brazil’s professional system wear sensor based tracking vests during training and matches. These vests collect real time data on speed, heart rate, workload, and recovery. The system gives coaches a clear view of how each player performs over time. It also shows how quickly players recover after intense matches or training sessions. Sports science staff use this information to monitor fitness levels and reduce injury risk. National Team Connected With Clubs Brazil’s approach depends on strong coordination between clubs and the national team. Clubs collect player data throughout the season and share it with national team staff. This allows coaches to follow players even when they are not training with the national squad. Guilherme Passos, head of sports science for Brazil, says the system makes it easier to track players consistently. Staff can see how each athlete is progressing, even when they are based in different countries and leagues. Smarter Decisions for Squad Selection The national team uses this data to support tactical and selection decisions. Coaches can identify players who are in peak condition or recovering from fatigue. A player’s speed, stamina, and workload can influence how they are used in matches. Fast players may be better suited to counter attacking roles, depending on their physical data. This helps the coaching staff build a more balanced and prepared squad for major tournaments. Preparing for a Demanding World Cup International football brings a unique challenge. Coaches have limited time with players who compete across different leagues worldwide. The tracking system helps close that gap. It gives Brazil continuous insight into player condition throughout the season. As the 2026 World Cup approaches, Brazil aims to turn this data advantage into on field success.

Steven Spielberg returns to alien themed storytelling with Disclosure Day, a large scale film that explores government secrecy and extraterrestrial contact. Expectations were extremely high because of his long history with science fiction cinema. However, the final result has left many viewers disappointed. Critics describe the film as underdeveloped and lacking fresh ideas. Instead of delivering a powerful new vision, it feels familiar and predictable. Story and Plot Issues The story follows Daniel, a cybersecurity expert working for a powerful organization that hides evidence of alien life. He decides to expose the truth, but quickly becomes caught in a dangerous situation involving surveillance and pursuit. A second storyline focuses on Margaret, a weather presenter who suddenly gains the ability to understand multiple languages, including unknown ones. Her scenes bring some energy to the film, but they feel disconnected from the main plot. Much of the movie follows a chase driven structure where characters move from place to place while being tracked. This approach weakens tension because the audience is given little reason to care about the outcome. Characters and Performances Josh O’Connor plays Daniel, but the character lacks depth and clear motivation. Eve Hewson appears as Jane, yet her role is limited and mostly reactive. Emily Blunt delivers the strongest performance in the film. Her character Margaret brings moments of creativity and emotional interest. Many viewers feel her storyline could have worked better as the main focus of the film. Colin Firth plays Noah, the main antagonist. His performance feels misaligned with the role, which reduces the impact of the villain. The organization he leads also appears inconsistent, as it is meant to operate in secrecy yet functions like a large public institution. Criticism and Expectations Many viewers expected Spielberg to deliver a major science fiction milestone, similar to his earlier classics. Instead, Disclosure Day feels like a standard thriller with limited originality. The film does not introduce strong new ideas about extraterrestrial life. Instead, it repeats familiar themes without adding depth or innovation. Some scenes suggest potential, especially those involving Margaret, but the film does not fully develop them. As a result, the overall experience feels uneven and underwhelming.

Idris Elba on James Bond Casting and “Woke” Debate: Full Summary Idris Elba speaks on James Bond role and global audience reaction British actor Sir Idris Elba has shared his thoughts on the ongoing debate around the future of James Bond. He said the character should stay true to its original identity and warned against changing it in ways that could divide audiences. Elba also addressed long running speculation linking him to the role of 007, saying he has never been officially in the running, even though he feels flattered by the attention. He explained that James Bond has a specific legacy and tone, and that this should not be altered too much. According to him, the franchise is built on escapism, and changing its core identity to match modern debates could take away from what makes it popular worldwide. Elba comments on diversity and audience expectations Elba pointed out that global audiences react differently to casting choices. He suggested that some viewers may not accept a Black actor in the role of James Bond, especially in certain regions. While expressing this view, he emphasized that Bond is a fictional character and should remain consistent with how it was originally created. He also said that trying to adjust the character to fit every cultural expectation could weaken the story. Instead, he believes the focus should remain on maintaining the traditional style of the franchise. “Man at Arms” role and casting humor Elba is currently appearing in a new project where he plays Man at Arms from Masters of the Universe. He joked about the contrast between his real appearance and the animated character, noting that the role shows how flexible casting can be in fantasy worlds. He highlighted that fictional characters can be reimagined more freely than grounded roles like James Bond. James Bond franchise continues search for new actor The search for the next James Bond is officially underway after years of speculation following Daniel Craig’s departure in No Time To Die. Production insiders confirm that casting auditions are ongoing, although details remain private. The next Bond film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve and written by Steven Knight. Industry reports suggest casting director Nina Gold is leading the selection process. Several well known actors are rumored to be in consideration, including Callum Turner, Henry Cavill, and Aaron Taylor Johnson.

Indie Horror Films Outperform Hollywood Blockbusters, Shaking the Film Industry A surprising shift at the box office Two small budget horror films, Backrooms and Obsession, have taken the film world by surprise. Both movies have earned massive profits while big studio releases struggle to meet expectations. This unexpected outcome is forcing the industry to rethink what audiences want. Big studio films underperform Recent blockbuster releases like Masters of the Universe and The Mandalorian and Grogu were expected to dominate the box office. Instead, they delivered weaker results than projected. Masters of the Universe, based on a popular toy franchise, earned only modest returns during its opening. Meanwhile, The Mandalorian and Grogu continued to decline after its initial release. Both films failed to maintain strong audience interest over time. Indie horror becomes a breakout success In contrast, Backrooms and Obsession turned into unexpected hits. Both films were produced on very small budgets, yet they attracted large audiences. Backrooms, directed by a first time filmmaker and released by A24, created strong buzz with its unsettling story and minimalistic style. It earned over 135 million dollars in the US, showing strong audience demand for original horror concepts. Obsession, produced for under 1 million dollars, delivered even more surprising results. With no major star cast, it grew steadily at the box office instead of dropping after release. Its global earnings have crossed 225 million dollars, making it one of the most successful indie horror films in recent years. Why audiences are shifting Industry analysts point to changing viewer habits. Many younger audiences are showing less interest in recycled franchises and more interest in fresh, original stories. Horror films, in particular, offer a strong emotional experience that works well in cinemas. Low budgets also allow studios to take more creative risks. Even a single successful horror release can generate huge profits compared to expensive blockbusters. A turning point for Hollywood The strong performance of these indie films suggests a possible shift in the film industry. Studios may need to balance franchise driven projects with original storytelling if they want to stay competitive.

The winners of the Travel Photographer of the Year 2025 have been revealed, showcasing breathtaking moments from across the globe. From sacred rituals to fleeting acts of survival, these images highlight the power and beauty of travel photography. Overall Winner: Athanasios Maloukos, Greece Athanasios Maloukos took the top prize for two series exploring ritual, belief, and movement. One captures the solemn Holy Week processions in Zamora, Spain, while the other follows the hypnotic Sema ceremony of whirling dervishes in Konya, Turkey. Both series were shot in low light, using precise shutter speeds to balance blur and stillness. Chris Coe, TPOTY founder, praised Maloukos’s skill. He said, “Capturing movement like this requires extreme precision. These images convey rhythm, reverence, and emotion entirely in camera, without over-processing.” Judge Jeremy Hoare called this work “one of the best over the 23 years of these awards.” Travel Image of the Year: Dana Allen, US Dana Allen won Travel Image of the Year for his striking photo of a bull elephant in Tanzania's Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The elephant, covered in dust, peers through a single visible eye. Although elephants often take dust baths, Allen’s shot transforms a familiar behavior into an abstract study of texture and gesture. This image also earned him the One Shot: Travel in Monochrome award. Young Travel Photographer of the Year 2025: Jamie Smart, UK At just 10 years old, Jamie Smart impressed the judges with her portfolio of flying foxes, photographed both at a zoo hospital in Queensland and in the wild. Judge Krystal Chryssomallis highlighted her sensitivity and awareness in storytelling. “Jamie understands light, timing, and framing. Her images communicate meaning and tell a compelling story.” Global Competition Highlights The competition received over 20,000 submissions from 160 countries. Entries were judged anonymously by a 16-member international panel. Finalists were required to submit original raw files, ensuring authenticity and confirming no AI involvement. The judges noted that the standard this year was exceptionally high. “The strongest photographs carried depth, intention, and emotion,” said Chryssomallis. “They show that when we truly see the world, it is powerful and beautiful.” These award-winning images capture moments of ritual, nature, and human resilience, reminding us of the extraordinary stories waiting to be discovered through travel photography.
