“I was standing in front of the teacher when she was shot,” a distraught seventh-grader reports the incident close to the Debsirin School gates in Nonthaburi. “She was talking to me when [the gunman] showed up.”
With her mother at her side, she describes how the gunman walked from room to room while still wearing her uniform.
Before turning the weapon on himself, authorities claim he killed five teachers and wounded twenty-three others, including classmates. His grandparents had been shot and killed earlier.

I observed pupils who had been shot, some in the chest, others in the back, and some in the arm.
A distraught educator said that his acquaintance was one of the deceased.
She was my age. As students, we attended this school together. The 31-year-old, who chose not to reveal his identity, added, “Then we both became teachers at this school.”
After a gunshot incident at Debsirin Nonthaburi School, students’ possessions and furnishings were strewn across a classroom.
Five instructors were shot and killed by the 14-year-old, according to authorities, and over thirty injuries have been recorded.
Police have not yet disclosed a motive, and the inquiry is still in its early stages.
