TikTok Star Sydney Towle Dies at 26
Sydney Towle, a well-known social media influencer who talked about having an uncommon, aggressive kind of cancer.
On her social media pages on Thursday, Towle’s family confirmed her passing due to complications from bile duct cancer that had spread to other regions of her body.
After fighting cholangiocarcinoma for nearly three years. Syd passed away quietly yesterday night. According to a video message posted on TikTok by her brother Austin and their mother.
Towle had more than 200,000 Instagram followers and more than a million TikTok followers before being transferred to hospice care earlier this week.
She has been documenting her everyday life as a young person undergoing chemotherapy for the past three years.

In a statement, Towle’s family stated, “We are so proud of how hard Sydney fought and for sharing her journey with so many people.”
She was enthusiastic about encouraging self-advocacy and wanted to increase awareness of uncommon malignancies.

Sydney Towle Refused to Give Up
In a March article, Towle stated, “I’m rich because my friends decide to spend a Saturday fundraising for cancer research.”
In another post from last year, Towle wrote, “Go get a pint of Ben & Jerry’s and watch your favorite movies. I remember that life is good and bad things happen sometimes, but that doesn’t make it a bad life.”
On social media, Towle showed off her tummy, where a hepatic artery pump had been placed.
In a post last year, she included pictures of herself in a bikini along with the words. “I have only recently started seeing the resilience and beauty in this body.”
