South Africa’s Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has apologised after a private video showing a heated argument with his wife, Queen Nomzamo Myeni, spread online.
The footage shows the king making angry remarks and accusing the queen of having a relationship outside their marriage. He also threatened to remove her from the royal home during the argument.
Queen Nomzamo appeared to record the video herself. She stayed silent throughout most of the exchange before saying at the end, “This is the life I live, day and night.”

Royal office says video is from the past
The King’s office released a statement expressing regret over the situation. It said the incident caused pain and embarrassment among members of the royal family and the wider Zulu community.
Officials clarified that the recording is historical and does not represent the current situation inside the Royal Household.
The statement also highlighted that the royal family continues to value respect and unity despite the controversy surrounding the leaked footage.
