A woman on a family trip in Australias outback got stuck in a broken pit toilet for three hours. She was rescued by a tradesman who was passing by.
The incident happened at the Henbury Meteorites Conservation Zone, 145 km of Alice Springs.
She was with her husband and two kids when the accident occurred. She was using an outdoor toilet.
What Happened
Pit toilets are toilets with deep holes in the ground.The toilet broke while she was inside. She fell waist-deep into the sewage pit.
Her husband tried to get help. A tradesman who was passing by came to her rescue.
Rescue
The tradesman gave her a rope to hold onto. He then pulled her out with his vehicle.
It took than 45 minutes to rescue her. People said it was very dirty inside the pit.
The woman went to the hospital. She did not have any injuries.
