Denzel Washington has expressed regret to Ryan Coogler, the director, for revealing important information.
Washington unintentionally revealed that Coogler was already working on the Black Panther 3 series while promoting his movies Gladiator II and The Piano Lesson.
Washington clarified in an interview with Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast that he immediately apologized to Coogler.
“Ryan is a genius,” he said. His lovely wife was seated next to him when I contacted him to apologize for discussing the movie. He remains Ryan, modest and creative. I’ll read whatever he writes.
It is important to note that Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed the third Black Panther movie.
