Iran stated that signals are still being sent to the United States and that Tehran is still open to talks as worries of a return to a full-scale Iranian conflict grow ahead of important elections in both the United States and Israel. Additionally, American President Donald Trump declared that an assault against the Islamic Republic would not take place “today.”

Iran says messages are still passed to the US via intermediaries

Esmail Baghaei, a spokesman for Iran’s foreign ministry, stated that Tehran has not blocked the diplomatic window and that communications are being sent to the United States through middlemen. The war negotiations seem to be at a standstill for weeks.

Baghaei reportedly spoke in an interview with a German channel, according to state media. He claimed that Trump and American officials frequently use the term “complete surrender,” which Baghaei claimed no Iranian would accept, and that the United States seems to continue making unilateral demands.

With elections in Israel and the United States in the near future, Iranians are growing increasingly concerned about a potential return to full-scale warfare.

Trump says no strike against Iran today

When asked if he intended to strike Iran, Trump first said that it would be foolish for him to do so.

However, Trump went on, “No. Today, there won’t be a strike. Concurrently, the commander of U.S. Central Command, Adm. While flying above the Strait of Hormuz, Brad Cooper said that during the previous six months, more than 3,000 commercial ships have crossed the canal with assistance from the US military.

Citing information, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his warning that Iran and its proxies may launch an attempt to sabotage Tuesday’s tight elections.

Israeli broadcaster reports Netanyahu confrontation over Iran

Shortly before Israel’s tight election, Netanyahu and his military chief of staff clashed over a political directive pertaining to Iran, according to a local television on Sunday nite.

Some Israelis were alarmed by the Channel 12 claim, including Gadi Eisenkot, Netanyahu’s main opponent in Tuesday’s election, who said on X that he supported Eyal Zamir, the chief of staff.

The outrage was a response to worries expressed by some in Israel that Netanyahu, the nation’s longest-serving prime leader, could be keen to strike Iran before the election in an attempt to hold onto power.

Riyadh international airport reopens as Houthi attacks persist

Although Iran-backed Houthis in neighboring Yemen once again launched drones and missiles into the Saudi capital, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh reportedly opened terminals 1 and 2 for both local and international flights.

Maj. Gen. Turki al-Malki, a spokesperson for the Saudi military, stated that a drone and a ballistic missile fired into Riyadh were intercepted and destroyed by air defenses. The incident was attributed to the Houthis.

Houthi attacks on an airport complex with two more terminals in early October resulted in roughly 330 injuries and 17 fatalities.

2 wounded by debris from interceptions in Saudi Arabia

According to Saudi officials, two individuals—a Saudi national and a resident of an unidentified Asian nation—were injured by debris from the interception of two ballistic missiles in the governorates of Khamis Mushait and Ahad Rafida.

The Houthis in Yemen launched the missiles, according to the Civil Defense, and the debris also damaged seven vehicles and three buildings.

Later, the Houthi rebels claimed that the strikes, which targeted the King Khalid air base near Khamis Mushait, were a reaction to “Saudi aggression” on Sanaa, the rebel-held capital of Yemen. The statements could not be independently verified by the news.

Palestinian officials say Israeli strikes killed 7 in Gaza

Palestinian medical authorities said that seven persons were killed by Israeli attacks in Gaza.

Two brothers were murdered in Khan Younis, a city in the south, while four individuals were killed in two attacks in Gaza City. Deir al-Balah, a town in the center, saw one fatality. Officials from the hospitals in Shifa, Hamad, Nasser, and Al-Aqsa as well as an American field hospital verified the deaths.

The Israeli military refrained from commenting right away.

Israel has been bombing Gaza in what it claims are operations against terrorist sites for a year now.
