PESHAWAR: According to sources who spoke to News, the rallies have cost Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur Rs500 million over the years. The PTI is scheduled to host a power show in Swabi to commemorate the general elections that were held on February 8 of last year.
According to the sources, the chief minister personally covered the costs of political rallies and protests, including any losses or damage from burning equipment.
The potential return to street politics of the Imran Khan-founded party coincides with its negotiations with the government, which appear to have broken down after the party declined to participate in the fourth round of talks on January 28 due to the government’s inability to establish a judicial commission to look into the May 9 riots.
