Afaq Ahmed, the chairman of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H), was freed on Tuesday after obtaining bail in a third case for arson instigation. This occurred after the politician’s news conference against traffic accidents resulted in the burning of multiple heavy cars.
After hearing a case against Afaq following a group of individuals setting a tanker on fire, another district and sessions West judge in Karachi granted bail to the firebrand lawmaker today.
The court granted his bail request and mandated that he provide Rs 100,000 in surety bonds.
A judicial magistrate sent the MQM-H leader to prison on judicial remand three days ago in connection with a case in which he was accused of setting fire to a water bowser in Surjani Town.
