BRUSSELS: Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and a former foreign minister, issued a warning on Saturday that until the two nuclear-armed neighbors engage in communication, tensions between Pakistan and India will only rise.
“The region is not as safe as it was before the conflict with India, which always runs away from negotiations [with Pakistan],” Bilawal stated during a news conference in Brussels.
The former foreign minister made these comments while leading a high-level Pakistani parliamentary delegation in Brussels, the capital of the European Union. Earlier, as part of Islamabad’s diplomatic efforts to combat Indian propaganda following the recent dispute between the two nations, Bilawal made fruitful trips to Washington, New York, and London.
