The Indian delegation made a “concerted push” to put Pakistan back on the grey list, according to diplomatic sources who spoke to News, citing issues with finance laws and counterterrorism financing.
China, however, adopted a strong stance in support of Pakistan, pleading for further aid and recognizing the nation’s advancements in meeting FATF rules.
India’s attempt was further undermined when Turkiye and Japan offered Pakistan their complete support.
