According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, met with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House.
Field Marshal Munir visited the Oval Office after the two presidents attended a luncheon in the Cabinet Room.
Steve Witkoff, the Special Representative for the Middle East, and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also attended the meeting.
President Trump appreciated Pakistan’s contributions to counterterrorism and peace initiatives, according to ISPR, the spokesperson for the Pakistan Armed Forces.
