Witnesses and rescuers report that Israeli forces opened fire near an aid distribution site in southern Gaza, killing over 51 Palestinians and injuring several others.
Israeli troops opened fire on people close to the aid facility in Khan Younis, according to the Hamas-run civil defense organization. There were apparently over 200 injuries.
The Israeli military has informed the media that it is investigating the claims.
It is the most recent—and maybe the deadliest—of nearly daily shootings that have been occurring lately close to Gaza’s assistance delivery centers.
