HONG KONG: As the Israel-Iran confrontation quickly worsens, governments from all over the world are evacuating thousands of their citizens, setting up buses and airplanes, and in certain situations, helping individuals cross borders on foot.
After Israel launched an unprecedented bombing campaign on Friday targeting Iran’s nuclear and military sites, which prompted Tehran to retaliate, foreigners have hurried to leave both nations.
Many people are being evacuated via neighboring countries as a result of Israel’s airspace being restricted and the two nations exchanging intense missile fire.
Europe
Hundreds of Israeli citizens have already been returned by European nations.
According to the Czech defense ministry, 181 persons who were bussed to a neighboring country and crossed the border on foot were repatriated by the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
