Khawaja Asif, the defense minister, attacked Narendra Modi harshly on Wednesday, claiming that the Indian prime minister is politically isolated both domestically and internationally.
The defense chief told reporters in Islamabad that Indian Prime Minister Modi is no longer regarded seriously internationally and has “become an international joke.”
He said, “He tries to shake hands, but people avoid him.”
His comments were made the day after Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, attacked the Modi administration for allegedly allowing US President Donald Trump to claim that five Indian fighter jets were shot down during conflicts with Pakistan.
Let Modi claim that Trump lied in front of this House if he has the guts to do so. Gandhi stated, “Assume that there was no ceasefire and that no Indian jets were shot down.”
