The HBL PSL 9 final will take place on March 18, 2024, at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, with table-toppers Multan Sultans facing Islamabad United for the grand Orion trophy. The first ball is slated to be bowled at 9 p.m., with the toss taking place at 8:30.

The Sultans, who qualified for the final by defeating Peshawar Zalmi in the Qualifier, will be playing in their fourth straight final. They were declared winners in the 2021 season and finished second in the following two editions, while Lahore Qalandars won two consecutive titles.

After finishing third in the table, United defeated Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi in the two eliminators to claim the coveted spot in the final.

Multan Sultans have 14 points heading into the playoffs after winning seven of their ten games. United concluded with five wins, although their home game against Lahore Qalandars was rained out. As a result, United had 11 points, tied with the fourth-place Quetta Gladiators.

Multan’s Muhammad Rizwan and Usman Khan are the tournament’s second and third top run scorers, trailing only Peshawar Zalmi’s Babar Azam, who finished HBL PSL 9 with 569 runs in 11 innings, including five half-centuries and a century.

Rizwan has 382 runs in as many innings, including four half centuries. Usman has scored 373 runs in his six games, including two centuries and a half-century.
