Myra Carvalho, 35, is accused of stalking the 30-year-old English musician by sending him 8,000 cards in less than a month. She made her appearance at Harrow Crown Court, sitting at Hendon Magistrates’ Court in London.
According to a court official, she entered a guilty plea on Tuesday to a charge of stalking causing serious alarm or distress and was subsequently sentenced to 14 weeks in prison.
Carvalho was also given a ten-year restraining order, which states she is not allowed to go to any events where Styles is performing.
Additionally, Carvalho, who was lodging at a backpacker hostel in Kensington and Chelsea, a part of southwest London, was told not to get in touch with Styles directly.
