Goh Choon Pong, the CEO of Singapore Airlines, has expressed gratitude to the workforce for their diligent efforts following a severe turbulence incident that resulted in the death of a British citizen and numerous injuries.
“The last five days have been immensely challenging for everyone at Singapore Airlines,” Mr. Goh wrote in a memo that the news was able to obtain.
Following a mishap over the Indian Ocean on May 21, aircraft SQ321, which was scheduled to depart London for Singapore, was rerouted to Bangkok, Thailand.
On Sunday, the Boeing B777-ER was returned to Singapore via air.
According to Mr. Goh’s memo, “our agility, dedication, and team spirit were evident during this period.”
