The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released the squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup on Friday. Playoffs are set to begin on June 1 in the United States and the West Indies.
Fans revealed the identities of the 15 players chosen for the World Cup in an entertaining unveiling. With the goal of winning their first ICC trophy since winning the Champions Trophy in 2017, Pakistan has assembled a lineup that features seasoned players like Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim, and Haris Rauf.
Pakistan will compete in the T20 World Cup in 2024, with key players such Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Mohammad Rizwan, and Fakhar Zaman representing their country.
The following rookies are expected to make their T20 World Cup debuts: Abbas Afridi, Usman Khan, Azam Khan, Saim Ayub, and Abrar Ahmed. Amir and Wasim are returning to the competition, having taken part in it in 2016 and 2021, respectively.
It’s noteworthy that the PCB did not select any backup players for the World Cup team.
