Selling his 45% share in Crystal Palace is the American businessman’s next focus, he stated, “so that we can pursue a relationship with the Everton club and community”.
A “significant number of parties” were interested in purchasing his shares, he claimed.
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri gave Textor a period of exclusivity earlier this month.
On his website, Textor stated, “It is true that we made an offer to buy the remaining shares of Crystal Palace, at a valuation that far exceeds levels of prior investment.”
It’s also true that we received no reaction to our offer, and we think our Palace partners share our wish to hold onto ownership.”
In May, Textor first declared his intention to sell his Crystal Palace shares and his interest in acquiring Everton.
The 58-year-old digital entrepreneur gained notoriety on the streaming service FuboTV and in virtual reality studios.
