According to authorities, Fahad Al-Muwallad, a player for Al-Shabab in the Saudi Pro League and a 2018 World Cup participant for his nation, collapsed in the city during a brief vacation.
The 30-year-old winger was on the balcony when the accident happened, according to a statement released late on Saturday by Dubai’s Police General Command, and they were still looking into it.
The police stated that Al-Muwallad is “in intensive care in one of Dubai’s hospitals, where the efforts of the medical teams continue to provide him with the necessary care.”
The majority of Al-Muwallad’s career has been played in his own nation. He began with Al-Ittihad, where he scored 76 goals.
He only made two games during his short loan stint with Spanish team Levante, but he made history as the first Saudi football player to play in the top league in Spain.
According to transfermarkt.com, the attacker has appeared in 74 games for Saudi Arabia, tallying 17 goals.
