Regarding suspect Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, a lot of information has surfaced. Routh was taken into custody on Sunday after the incident at Mr. Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, where the former president was playing.
However, the FBI states that the probe is “still in its early stages” and that many questions remain after the occurrence.

These are the main questions that remain unsolved following the reported shooting attempt.

Was Routh aware that Trump was going to play golf? If so, how?

According to temporary USSS director Ronald Rowe Jr., Mr. Trump did not have a public schedule for his visit to his West Palm Beach golf course.

Mr. Rowe Jr. said he “wasn’t supposed to have gone there” and that it was a “off the record movement” in remarks made to reporters on Monday.

It could help clarify why Routh’s detection took so long—a topic we’ll get into soon.

It also begs the issue of whether Routh was merely waiting there without any intelligence and expecting the former president—who routinely plays golf—would show up or whether he was aware that Mr. Trump would be attending the course.
