In a formal request, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has asked the Deputy Commissioner of Lahore to grant permission for a public meeting to be held at Minar-e-Pakistan on October 5.
Imran Khan, the PTI’s founding leader, is celebrating his birthday on this day, and the party has asked that the gathering take place from 5 to 10 p.m.
In the application, PTI guarantees that every attendee will completely abide by the law and all applicable rules while at the event.
Senior Vice President of the PTI for Punjab Akmal Khan Bari made the plea, stressing the significance of the celebration of the party founder’s birthday.
Permission to hold the demonstration at Minar-e-Pakistan, a historically significant location, is being sought by the party.
