The prosecution claims that in order to learn the Holy Quran, the daughter of one Malik Usman used to go to Qari Abdul Aziz (60).
Usman and a few others went to the seminary’s teacher’s room on February 26, 2023, after the complainant’s daughter failed to return home, and they discovered the teacher abusing the girl sexually.
The girl disclosed to her father that she had been subjected to long-term sexual abuse by Qari. Following Usman’s allegation, the police apprehended the defendant and filed FIR No. 122/23 against him in accordance with section 377-B of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
In addition, the judge mandated that the convicted party serve an extra six months in jail should they fail to pay the fine.
