RAWALPINDI: Aleema Khan, the sister of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, was attacked with eggs during a media appearance on Friday, causing a ruckus outside Adiala jail.
After attending a legal hearing in Toshakhana, Aleema was speaking to reporters when two women threw eggs at her, momentarily startling her.
“We don’t care if anyone attacks us, as we knew this would happen,” she said, quickly regaining her composure, before withdrawing to her car to prevent more conflict.
The women involved in the incident were PTI members who had traveled from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as part of demonstrations against Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur organized by the All Government Employees Grand Alliance and APCA, according to Rawalpindi police.
