In response to orders from Imran Khan, the party’s founder, a number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senators resigned from their positions on Thursday’s senate standing committees.
Fouzia Arshad, Falak Naz, Aon Abbas Buppi, Mohammad Humayun Mohmand, Dost Muhammad, Zeeshan Khanzada, Azam Khan Swati, Ali Zafar, and Mirza Muhammad Afridi, who is supported by the PTI, are among these senators.
Along with boycotting the next by-elections, the previous ruling party’s political strategy includes this action. On Khan’s orders, PTI legislators resigned from the National Assembly’s standing committees last month.
Swati resigned from the Senate’s standing committees on national health services, economic affairs, law and justice, cabinet secretariat, regulation and coordination, and privileges and rules of process.
