In order to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left London for New York on Monday.
Premier Shehbaz will head Pakistan’s delegation to the high-level UNGA session today, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with other ministries and high-ranking government officials.
The prime minister is expected to speak at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly while he is there. The prime minister is also anticipated to meet with a number of foreign leaders outside of the UNGA session.
The Foreign Office had previously stated in a statement that PM Shehbaz will attend a gathering of “selected” Muslim leaders.
