UNITED NATIONS: On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the opening ceremony of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Session in New York among other international leaders.
Alongside the premier were Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Minister for Defense Khawaja Asif, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar.
In addition to attending the UNGA session, PM Shehbaz, who arrived in New York late Monday night, will take part in the special summit of Arab and Islamic nations, which is being co-hosted by the United States and Qatar.
In addition to US President Donald Trump, the prime minister has received a special invitation to attend the conference.
