Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri’s LLB degree has been revoked by the University of Karachi, the institution announced in a notification on Friday.
According to the notification, the university syndicate approved “Resolution No 06 and upheld the recommendation of the Unfair Means Committee (UFM)” at its August 31, 2024, meeting, in accordance with the consent of the relevant authority.
The statement states, “His LLB enrolment number AIL-7124/87 and seat number 22857 are hereby withdrawn and cancelled in accordance with the Syndicate meeting held on 31.08.2024.”
It also stated, “Justice Jahangiri was found guilty of using unfair means and has been barred for three years from appearing in any university examination or being admitted to any university or college.”
