During her recent visit to Karachi, US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to deepening security and economic cooperation with Pakistan.
According to a statement released by the US embassy on Friday, Baker met with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Governor Kamran Tessori during her visit to the city from September 23 to 26. They talked about bilateral trade, investment opportunities, and ongoing flood recovery efforts, including the benefits of recent US contributions.
She also spoke with officials of the Reko Diq mining project and the business community in Karachi. Expanding business linkages in manufacturing, essential minerals, technology, energy, textiles, packaging, and the port industry were discussed.
