The Palestine Action Coalition of Pakistan stated in a statement Thursday that Israeli soldiers had arrested former senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan as he was participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla.
In an attempt to overturn Israel’s siege of Gaza, Ahmad, who was in charge of a five-person delegation from Pakistan, joined the flotilla along with international activists and aid organizations.
Only one boat remains on its way after Israeli soldiers stopped 39 vessels trying to enter Gaza as part of the Global Sumud Flotilla, organizers announced Thursday.
In an attempt to protest Israel’s siege of Gaza, the flotilla, which consists of 45 ships transporting politicians and activists from around the world, set out from Spain last month.
