The weekly inflation rate increased by 0.56%, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Details that appeared on Friday indicate that twelve important items witnessed a decrease in price over the preceding week, while 19 saw an increase. Twenty goods’ rates stayed the same.
PBS reports that weekly inflation topped 4 percent, hitting 4.07 percent year over year. Price rises for essential commodities including tomatoes, garlic, onions, gasoline, and fuel are consistent with a trend seen following severe flooding.
The cost of tomatoes, garlic, onions, red chili, mutton, and beef increased, among other things. The cost of ghee, curd, gasoline, diesel, clothes, and cigarettes also increased.
