The public has been instructed by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to report anti-state content on the internet and social media to the appropriate platform and to the PTA for blocking or removal.
The PTA advised the public to notify both the National Counter-Terrorism and Cybersecurity Intelligence Agency (NCCIA) and the PTA of any content that jeopardizes Pakistan’s defense, integrity, or security.
Furthermore, according to the PTA, publishing anything online that disparages Pakistan’s defense, integrity, or security is prohibited by the PECA Act and is penalized by law.
